As we reflect on our first year at Boone Town Provisions, we’re filled with gratitude and excitement for the amazing experiences we’ve shared with our community. From our highly anticipated grand opening to an unforgettable pet adoption event, 2024 has been a year of community, connection, collaboration, and fun! It’s been a journey marked by support from friends, family, and the incredible local businesses and partners who made our events so special.
Here’s a look back at some of the highlights that made this year truly unforgettable.
July: Our grand opening
Sunday, July 28th marked the official grand opening of Boone Town Provisions. After three years of hard work, dedication, and collaboration, the green ribbon was cut in front of a bustling crowd of friends, family, and neighbors eager to shop local.
The celebration was a perfect mix of fun and education, with live music, delicious food, and plenty of opportunities to learn more about cannabis. And of course, nobody could leave without snapping a selfie with Tokey The Bear.
We were lucky to have some fantastic local businesses help make the event even more special. Boonton Coffee kicked off the morning with drinks and snacks, fueling the crowd for a day of fun. Guests cooled off from the summer heat with delicious gelato from Guerriero Gelato, while Pie Oh My! served up mouthwatering pizza that kept everyone satisfied throughout the afternoon. Working Man’s Jed put the perfect soundtrack to the celebration, creating an atmosphere of energy and excitement.
The energy was contagious, and the support from our friends, family, and neighbors was overwhelming. It was clear that Boonton was ready for this new chapter — the long checkout lines were a testament to that — and we couldn’t have done it without all of you.
September: Loving camp vibes with Chronic Cornhole
Another highlight of our year was kicking off a slew of camp activities on September 10th with a Chronic Cornhole tournament. This event brought together enthusiasts of the beloved lawn game for some friendly competition, laughter, and good times. The bags flew, the boards were set, and the energy was high (get it?) as participants faced off for the title of cornhole champion.
We couldn’t have asked for a better group of competitors, and a huge shout-out goes to our winners, who not only took home the glory but also some fantastic prizes to match. It was just the beginning of an awesome series of camp activities we hosted throughout the year. From fun games to team-building challenges, we had an absolute blast and can’t wait to continue the tradition next year!
September: Brand pop-ups galore
September was a month to remember at Boone Town, thanks to an incredible series of pop-up events featuring some of the best brands in the industry. From exclusive product drops to interactive experiences, we had a blast hosting our partners and introducing our community to great, quality cannabis products.
We kicked off the month with Timeless on Sept. 1st, bringing top-tier concentrates that had everyone talking. Then, Sussex joined us on Sept. 5th, offering a unique chance to explore their craft and learn more about their standout products. The following week, Nova Farms wowed us with their fresh, locally grown cannabis and thoughtful approach to quality. We also had the pleasure of hosting Fernway, whose premium vape products added an extra layer of fun to the month’s activities. Finally, Airo brought their sleek, innovative products to the table, while Verano rounded out the month with their exquisite flower and expertly crafted extracts.
Each pop-up was the place for customers to learn more about these brands and deepen their understanding of the cannabis world. Lively conversation, great buzz, and friendly-faced community made for lively days in store all month long.
October: Adopt a pup on Dog Gone Wednesday
We partnered with JKRC Rescue on Wednesday, October 2nd, to make matches between our customers and their new four-legged BFFs. A group of loving dogs enjoyed hanging around the dispensary, each hoping to find their forever (or furever) home. The event was an excellent opportunity for our community to meet these adorable pups, learn more about their unique personalities, and find a new buddy to take on a hiking (or lounging around) adventure.
We were thrilled to have Old Pal join us, adding extra fun and excitement to the afternoon. But the best part? Seeing so many smiling faces and wagging tails as these dogs met their potential new families! It was an afternoon filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of paw-sitivity.
